     Joyce Marie Wallace, 82, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 2:55 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan.

     She was born in Peoria on February 2, 1928 to Nicholas and Loretta (Carter) Keogel. She married Patrick E. Wallace on August 2, 1947. He died on January 3, 1998. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one great-grandchild.

     Surviving are one son, Kevin (Pam) of Flanagan; three daughters, Patricia (Nick) Veselack of Indianapolis, Roseanne (Don) Prater of St. Charles, MO and Lori (Hugh) Connor of Holly Springs, NC; twelve grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her godson, Mark Marvin.

     Joyce attended Manuel High School and was a parishioner at St. Mark Catholic Church. She was employed by Jumer’s Restaurant (formerly Kramer’s) from 1957 until she retired in 1997.

     Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2010, at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria, with the Deacon Robert Myers officiating.

     The family wishes to thank Dr. Larry Stalter and the staff at the Good Samaritan Home for their wonderful care.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria.

Started working with Joyce when I was just a kid at Jumers, she was fun and wonderful to us kids. Always let us have fun while working, I have many great memories of her! She was a wonderful boss and person. She will be missed. So sorry for you loss.
